A while back I was online and saw someone who had tied their scarf in a cool "new" way. For the life of me I cannot retrace my steps and find it again...so with the help of my friend "Doozer"...we made a how-to video to share with all of you. This is a variation on the "European Loop" where you pull both ends through a loop. Instead of pulling both through, you just pull one through. The other end you take and put it over, and then through. This method shown results in the scarf laying flatter against your chest. It is less bulky...in my opinion. And yes, I know it is summer...but I am a fan of summer scarfs, so I feel this is useful now and not just in winter. RBB wanted to record a soundtrack for this clip, something dynamic and engaging....but when I shot the video Bonham was at the computer watching a clip of Dinosaur Train...so that is the soundtrack you get.
Here is the same how-to but in stills verses video. And this time staring me instead of Doozer. You will notice that I cut my head off in the pics. Not a fan of the camera today. And no, I did not wear that scarf with that shirt...I just was too lazy to change shirts for the how-to pics.
Pull one end through the loop.
Take the other end over the loop, then reach through the loop and pull it through.
thrilling! and useful! here in the Bay area, we are with scarf all the time~and it usually has to be a size which could substitute for a jacket as the temperature has an affinity for changing by 20 degrees at a moments notice.
Saw your comment on Petit Elefant and had to come see. I love this! Bulk is the biggest thing keeping me from scarves. Off to try this right now! Thanks! :)

Brilliant, Danielle. I'm not sure I can recreate it but I love it!

SO SMART! Thanks for sharing! It always bugged me that I could never figure out how to lay it flat. :)
