One year ago today, thanks to Kate, I wrote Forever In Blue Jeans. (A few weeks ago Eat, Sleep, Denim linked to it! Woo hooo)
In April I talked about my lack of sleep, I’m so tired, my mind is on the blink.
In May I wrote some lists…Favorite cover songs, advice found in songs, music moments in film and albums you listen to all the way through.
I posted this scarf tying tutorial (which was later linked to by Whoorl, Whooo hooo) in June.
A post with some facts about myself was in July. I also posted some questions by Chuck Klosterman…hum, I might need to go back to these and post some more.
I actually named a post Up your butt Jobu in August.
The best pie EVER was made in September. I also shared my tips for cooking and freezing casseroles. Btw, I now use Rachel’s method for freezing in just Aluminum foil. I love it. So smart. I go ahead and pop the frozen casserole back into a baking dish (still in the foil) and just bake from frozen. I don’t really pre-thaw…maybe an hour or so, but usually not.
In October I tried out some mascaras…and never finished the post series. Sorry about that. Anyone want a recap of my final findings? I also wrote about My Life as an Open Book for a Blog Crawl and said goodbye to Fishy.
My Holiday Gift Guide posted in November and featured many of my favorite bloggers, here, here and here.
In December there was a Festivus for the rest of us, the start to my cat drama, and I announced my plan to write lists (they post every Wednesday).
I started Friday Gratitude posts in January.
In February I added some sponsors, Mr. Fox Brand Products, Reverie-Daydream, Custom Couture Labels, Heart of Light and Langston’s…made pie pops and shared with you some of my crazy.
In March I realized that writing a retrospective post is extremely difficult when you use random song lyrics and movie quotes instead of real titles that tell you what the post is actually about.
I have really enjoyed sharing my limited crafting ability (like marble art, crayon holders, more crayon holders, spin art) recipes I love (like Korean Short Ribs and Bistro Chicken), lots of baking and and many random thoughts with you guys. Thank you for giving me the confidence, will and desire to sit and write a bit each day. I have made new and wonderful friends, learned about myself and in general, had a great time.
Now I am off to Blog2Print to print out March 10, 2010 – March 10, 2011…and then tomorrow I begin my next year of bloggging.
